     William George Steuart-Menzies of Culdares and Arndilly was born on 28 September 1858 at Caputh, Perthshire, Scotland.2,3 He was the son of Ronald Steuart-Menzies of Culdares and Cardney and Marjorie Alexandrina Macdowall Grant.2 He married Constance Anne Ellen Wethered, daughter of Thomas Owen Wethered, on 30 January 1883.2 He died on 18 April 1941 at age 82.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Banff and Elgin.2
