He was admitted to Gray’s Inn on 22 May 1622.1 He was created 1st Baronet Boteler, of Barham Court, Teston, co. Kent [England] on 3 July 1641.1 He fought in the Battle of Cropredy Bridge on 29 June 1644, where he commanded the regiment he had raised for the King.1
