     He held the office of Speaker of the House of Commons [Ireland] from 1634 to 1635.¹

     Sir Walter Borrowes, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1620.¹ He was the son of Sir Erasmus Borrowes, 1st Bt. and Sarah Weldon.¹ He married, firstly, Eleanor Fitzgerald, daughter of George FitzGerald, 16th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan Boyle, on 16 February 1656.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Loftus, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Adam Loftus and Jane Vaughan, after 1681.¹ He died in 1685.¹ He was buried at Gilltown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in 1691.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Borrowes, of Grangemellon, co. Kildare [I., 1646] circa 1650.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of County Kildare in 1673.¹ He lived at Gilltown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹

     Wingfield Borrowes was born circa 1625.¹ He was the son of Sir Erasmus Borrowes, 1st Bt. and Sarah Weldon.¹
     He matriculated at Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 12 September 1640.¹

     Eleanor Fitzgerald was the daughter of George FitzGerald, 16th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan Boyle.¹ She married Sir Walter Borrowes, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Erasmus Borrowes, 1st Bt. and Sarah Weldon, on 16 February 1656.¹ She died on 3 August 1681.¹ She was buried at Gilltown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹
     From 16 February 1656, her married name became Borrowes.¹

     Margaret Loftus was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Adam Loftus and Jane Vaughan.¹ She married Sir Walter Borrowes, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Erasmus Borrowes, 1st Bt. and Sarah Weldon, after 1681.¹ She died before 1698.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) in 1698.¹
     From after 1681, her married name became Borrowes.¹

     Rt. Hon. Sir Adam Loftus was the son of Sir Dudley Loftus and Anne Bagenal.² He married Jane Vaughan, daughter of Walter Vaughan.³
     He lived at Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland^G.³

     Sophia Conyers was the daughter of Edward Conyers and Mathilda Fermor.¹ She married Sir Roger Newdigate, 5th Bt., son of Sir Richard Newdigate, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Twisden, on 31 May 1743.¹ She died on 9 July 1774.¹
     From 31 May 1743, her married name became Newdigate.¹

     Admiral Sir George Rodney Mundy was born on 19 April 1805.¹ He was the son of General Godfrey Basil Meynell Mundy and Hon. Sarah Brydges Rodney.¹ He died on 23 December 1884 at age 79, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 10 November 1862.¹ He wrote the book H.M.S. Hannibal at Palermo and Naples during the Italian Revolution, with Notices of Garibaldi, Francis II, and Victor Emmanuel, published 1863.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief of the West Indies between 1867 and 1869.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief of the Portsmouth between 1872 and 1875.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) on 2 June 1877.¹ He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet on 27 December 1877.¹

     Sir Kildare Borrowes, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1660.¹ He was the son of Sir Walter Borrowes, 2nd Bt. and Eleanor Fitzgerald.¹ He married Elizabeth Dixon, daughter of Sir Richard Dixon and Mary Eustace.¹ He died circa May 1709.¹ He was buried at Gilltown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Borrowes, of Grangemellon, co. Kildare [I., 1646] in 1685.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of County Kildare in 1697.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kildare [Ireland] between 1703 and 1709.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of County Kildare in 1707.¹ He lived at Gilltown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹

     Elizabeth Dixon was the daughter of Sir Richard Dixon and Mary Eustace.¹ She married Sir Kildare Borrowes, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Walter Borrowes, 2nd Bt. and Eleanor Fitzgerald.¹ She died on 11 March 1745.¹
     Her married name became Borrowes.¹
