Captain James Lyon

     Captain James Lyon was the son of John Lyon, 4th of Carse and Janet Brand.1 He married Mary Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton of Ballencrieff.1 He died in June 1775 at Bunker Hill, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 35th Regiment.1 He fought in the American War of Independence.1
