Sir Edward John Poynter, 1st Bt. was born in 1836.1 He was the son of Ambrose Poynter and Emma Forster.2 He married Agnes Macdonald, daughter of Reverend George Browne Macdonald and Hannah Jones, in 1866.1 He died in 1919.1
He gained the title of 1st Baronet Poynter.
