Emily Anne Beaufort1 
Emily Anne Beaufort was born in 1826.1 She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Sir Francis Beaufort and Alicia Magdalena Wilson.1 She married Percy Ellen Algernon Frederick William Sydney Smythe, 8th Viscount Strangford, son of Percy Clinton Sydney Smythe, 6th Viscount Strangford and Ellen Burke, on 6 February 1862.3 She died on 24 March 1887.3
She wrote the book Egyptian Sepulchres and Syrian Shrines, including some stay in the Lebanon, at Palmyra, and in Western Turkey, with Illustrations in Chromo-Lithography, published 1861.3 From 6 February 1862, her married name became Smythe.3 She wrote the book The Eastern Shores of the Adriatic in 1863, with a Visit to Montenegro, published 1864.3 She wrote the book Hospital Training for Ladies, published 1874.3
