Sir Thomas Pope Blount, 1st Bt.1 
He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn on 1 December 1668.1 In December 1678 he succeeded to the estate of Tittenhanger, from his mother.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Albans between 1679 and 1681.1 He was created 1st Baronet Blount, of Tittenhanger, co. Hertford [England] on 27 January 1679/80.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hertfordshire between 1689 and 1697.1 He was a Commissioner of Public Accounts between 1694 and 1697.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2

Sir Henry Blount was born in 1602 at Tittenhanger, Hertfordshire, England.1,3 He married Hester Wane, daughter of Christopher Wane. He died on 9 October 1682 at Tittenhanger, Hertfordshire, England.1
He was a celebrated traveller.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

Hester Wane was born in 1620.2 She was the daughter of Christopher Wane.1 She married Sir Henry Blount. She married Sir William Mainwaring.1 She died in December 1678.1
