     Sir Thomas Pope Blount, 1st Bt. was born on 12 September 1649 at Upper Hollway, Islington, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Blount and Hester Wane.¹ He married Jane Cæsar, daughter of Sir Henry Cæsar and Elizabeth Angell, on 22 July 1669 at St. Olave’s, Hart Street, London, England^G.¹ He died on 30 June 1697 at age 47 at Tittenhanger, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He was buried on 8 July 1697 at Ridge, England^G.¹
     He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn on 1 December 1668.¹ In December 1678 he succeeded to the estate of Tittenhanger, from his mother.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Albans between 1679 and 1681.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Blount, of Tittenhanger, co. Hertford [England] on 27 January 1679/80.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hertfordshire between 1689 and 1697.¹ He was a Commissioner of Public Accounts between 1694 and 1697.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²

     Hester Wane was born in 1620.² She was the daughter of Christopher Wane.¹ She married Sir Henry Blount. She married Sir William Mainwaring.¹ She died in December 1678.¹

     From 22 July 1669, her married name became Blount.¹

     Sir Henry Cæsar is the son of Sir Charles Cæser and Jane Barkham.² He married Elizabeth Angell, daughter of Robert Angell.²
