     Frances Elizabeth Edwards was born circa 1863 at Russell, New Zealand^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Henry Edwards and Harriet Elizabeth Flowerday.² She married Isaac Godfrey Christian, son of Isaac Christian and Miriam Young, on 2 July 1884 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She died on 21 January 1922 at Horotui, New Zealand^G.¹
     From 2 July 1884, her married name became Christian.¹ She emigrated to New Zealand^G arriving on circa 1915.¹

     John Williams Bookham was born circa 1879 at London, England^G.¹

     William Ernest Darke Christian was born on 6 November 1888 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of Isaac Godfrey Christian and Frances Elizabeth Edwards.¹ He married Evelyn Elizabeth Ann Smith on 24 March 1916 at Ngaruawahia, New Zealand^G.¹ He died at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹
     He was a fireman and teacher.¹ He first tried to stowaway on his father’s whaler at the age of 8. He was tall and muscular enough to pass for 12 or 13, by which time you were expected to earn your living in those hard times. He managed to get aboard undetected, but made the mistake of trying too hard and lit
up a pipeful of tobacco (his first) and his nausea gave him away. The stories of his bravery and individuality as a young man would fill a book. He did go to sea by the age of 12 as a hand harpoonist. Later, he sailed with the Bishop of Melanesia to South America, and was aboard the cable ship ‘Iris’ during World War I when Count Von Lucknow was arrested. In 1916, he settled in New Zealand.      Evelyn Elizabeth Ann Smith was born on 18 March 1896 at Te Koporu, New Zealand^G.¹ She married William Ernest Darke Christian, son of Isaac Godfrey Christian and Frances Elizabeth Edwards, on 24 March 1916 at Ngaruawahia, New Zealand^G.¹ She died at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹
     From 24 March 1916, her married name became Christian.¹ She was a teacher.¹

     Claude Royce Christian was born on 8 October 1918 at Horotui, New Zealand^G.¹ He is the son of William Ernest Darke Christian and Evelyn Elizabeth Ann Smith.¹ He married Enid Olwyn Pitman on 16 December 1939 at Hamilton, New Zealand^G.¹
     He was an inspector.¹

     Enid Olwyn Pitman was born on 25 November 1917 at Ellerslie, Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹ She married Claude Royce Christian, son of William Ernest Darke Christian and Evelyn Elizabeth Ann Smith, on 16 December 1939 at Hamilton, New Zealand^G.¹
     Her married name became Christian.¹
