     Catherine Nicola Blanche Rowan-Hamilton was born on 2 August 1957.¹ She is the daughter of Gawaine Leslie Rowan-Hamilton and Mary Bridget Blakiston-Houston.¹ She married Bartholomew Evan Eric Smith, son of Sir John Lindsay Eric Smith and Christian Margaret Carnegy, in 1987.¹
     From 1987, her married name became Smith.¹

     Bartholomew Evan Eric Smith is the son of Sir John Lindsay Eric Smith and Christian Margaret Carnegy.² He married Catherine Nicola Blanche Rowan-Hamilton, daughter of Gawaine Leslie Rowan-Hamilton and Mary Bridget Blakiston-Houston, in 1987.¹
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 2018.³

     Anne Blakiston-Houston was born on 8 January 1934.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Matthew Blakiston-Houston and Lettice Arden Stobart.¹ She married Admiral Sir David John Hallifax, son of Vice-Admiral Ronald Hamilton Curzon Hallifax and Joanne Mary Hughes, on 8 December 1962.¹
     From 8 December 1962, her married name became Hallifax.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Brew House, Englefield, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Admiral Sir David John Hallifax was born on 3 September 1927.² He was the son of Vice-Admiral Ronald Hamilton Curzon Hallifax and Joanne Mary Hughes.^1,2 He married Anne Blakiston-Houston, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Matthew Blakiston-Houston and Lettice Arden Stobart, on 8 December 1962.¹ He died in 1992.²
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)¹

     Vice-Admiral Ronald Hamilton Curzon Hallifax was the son of Rear-Admiral John Salway Hallifax and Charlotte Anne Hamilton.^2,3 He married Joanne Mary Hughes, daughter of Sir Robert Heywood Hughes, 12th Bt. and Edith Agnes Skinner, on 18 October 1923.⁴ He died on 5 November 1943 at Sollum, Egypt, killed in an air crash, on active service.³
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He lived at Old Alresford, Hampshire, England.⁴ He lived at Longcroft, Sherfield, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹
