     From 1 June 1893, her married name became Shaw.¹

     Eva Maude Cotton was born on 6 November 1855 at Muswell Hill, London, England.² She was the daughter of Sir William James Richmond Cotton and Caroline Richmond Pottinger.² She was baptised on 21 May 1856 at St. James’, London, England.² She married Lt.-Col. Bernard Tindal Bosanquet, son of James Whatman Bosanquet and Merelina Symonds Tindal, on 11 November 1874 at Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England.² She died on 20 June 1912 at age 56 at Uxbridge, London, England.^2,3
     From 11 November 1874, her married name became Bosanquet.¹

     Emily Dorothy Best was born on 15 December 1829.² She was the daughter of James Best and Harriet Susannah Gaussen.² She married James Whatman Bosanquet, son of Samuel Bosanquet and Letitia Philippa Whatman, on 25 April 1864 at Hillingbourn, Kent, England.^2,3 She died on 23 December 1899 at age 70.²
     From 25 April 1864, her married name became Bosanquet.²

     James Best was born in 1781.² He was the son of Thomas Best and Elizabeth Irwin.² He married Harriet Susannah Gaussen, daughter of Samuel Robert Gaussen, on 23 September 1817 at Boxley, Kent, England.^2,3 He died on 20 June 1849.²
     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the West Kent Militia.² He lived at Park House, Boxley, Kent, England^G.²

     Sir John James Kenward Best-Shaw, 9th Bt. was born on 11 June 1895.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles John Monson Shaw, 8th Bt. and Elizabeth Louisa Whatman Best Bosanquet.¹ He married Elizabeth Mary Theodora Hughes, daughter of Sir Robert Heywood Hughes, 12th Bt. and Edith Agnes Skinner, on 28 March 1921.² He died on 26 February 1984 at age 88.¹
     He was given the name of John James Kenward Shaw at birth.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Shaw, of the city of London [E., 1665] on 11 September 1922.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ On 20 July 1956 his name was legally changed to John James Kenward Best-Shaw by Royal Licence.¹ He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Kent in 1961.¹

     Elizabeth Mary Theodora Hughes was born on 22 June 1896 at 57 Eccleston Square, London, England.^2,3 She was the daughter of Sir Robert Heywood Hughes, 12th Bt. and Edith Agnes Skinner.^1,2 She married Sir John James Kenward Best-Shaw, 9th Bt., son of Sir Charles John Monson Shaw, 8th Bt. and Elizabeth Louisa Whatman Best Bosanquet, on 28 March 1921.² She died on 5 July 1986 at age 90.¹
     From 28 March 1921, her married name became Best-Shaw.¹

     Sir Robert Heywood Hughes, 12th Bt. was born on 2 November 1865.² He was the son of Sir Alfred Hughes, 9th Bt. and Maria Smith.² He married Edith Agnes Skinner, daughter of Charles Binny Skinner and Frances Mary Andrews, on 7 June 1894.² He died on 3 January 1951 at age 85.²
     He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Hughes, of East Bergholt, co. Suffolk [G.B., 1773] on 6 May 1945.²

     Charles John Hughes Best-Shaw was born on 23 January 1928.¹ He was the son of Sir John James Kenward Best-Shaw, 9th Bt. and Elizabeth Mary Theodora Hughes.¹ He married Carol Mary Drew, daughter of Joseph Martin Drew, on 12 October 1971.¹ He died on 6 January 2015 at age 86.²
     He was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Cornerfield House, Charing, Kent, England^G.¹

     Carol Mary Drew is the daughter of Joseph Martin Drew.¹ She married Charles John Hughes Best-Shaw, son of Sir John James Kenward Best-Shaw, 9th Bt. and Elizabeth Mary Theodora Hughes, on 12 October 1971.¹
     From 12 October 1971, her married name became Best-Shaw.¹
