     Nellah Young was born on 8 October 1903 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Carleton Vieder Young and Alice Helena Christian.¹ She married Joseph Viviene Christian, son of Sidney Elliot Atkins Christian and Ethel Virginia Young, at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She died at New Zealand^G.¹
     Her married name became Christian.¹

     Lowell Kenneth Christian was born on 1 April 1923 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He is the son of Joseph Viviene Christian and Nellah Young.¹

     Evelyn Eglantine Christian was born on 16 November 1929 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She is the daughter of Joseph Viviene Christian and Nellah Young.¹

     Tomlin Hick Christian was born on 20 March 1933 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He is the son of Joseph Viviene Christian and Nellah Young.¹

     Rosalind Amelia Young was born on 13 August 1853 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.¹ She married Pastor David Nield on 27 November 1907 at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹ She died on 1 February 1924 at age 70 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     From 27 November 1907, her married name became Nield.¹ She was a writer.¹
     She was among the 2nd wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn in 1864. At the age of 24, she was asked to write an article about Pitcairn life. At that time, by her own admission, ‘she had never worn shoes in her life, swam like a fish…four miles at a stretch, and was an excellent performer on the organ.’ By 1894, she was serving as Pitcairn’s editor, historical chronicler of the island, and primary schoolteacher.¹

     Pastor David Nield married Rosalind Amelia Young, daughter of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian, on 27 November 1907 at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹
     He was a Clergyman of the Church of God.¹

     Mary Ann Young was born on 5 June 1855 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.¹ She married Albert J. Volk on 8 September 1881 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She died on 18 April 1887 at age 31 at Cardiganshire, Wales^G, from consumption.²
     From 8 September 1881, her married name became Volk.² Among the 2nd wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn in 1864.¹

     Albert J. Volk was born at Owbert, Cardiganshire, Wales^G.¹ He married Mary Ann Young, daughter of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian, on 8 September 1881 at Pitcairn Island^G.²
     Albert arrived on Pitcairn in 1881 in the shipwreck of the Acadia, a British ship outward bound from San Francisco. He married, and after 3 years, he and his wife left Pitcairn to live in Wales.¹
