     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Blennerhassett, of Blennerville, co. Kerry [U.K., 1809] on 9 April 2022.3

     Alan de Blenerhayset was also known as Alan de Blennerhassett.2 In 1354 he inherited property in Carlisle.1 In 1362 he again inherited property in Carlisle.1 He held the office of Mayor of Carlisle in 1382.1 He held the office of Mayor of Carlisle in 1388.2 He apparently sealed an indenture with the arms still borne by the family in 1390.2 He held the office of Controller of the Customs in Cumberland in 1392.2 He with John de Blennerhassett and Johanna (?) parties to a fine attesting lands at Arthuret, Etterby, Wampool, and eight other places in Cumberland in 1399 or 1400.2
