Sarah Gertrude Arkwright was born in 1885 at London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Captain Frank Wigsell Arkwright and Rosa Frederica Baring.2 She married, firstly, Frederick Blantford Bate in 1916.1 She and Frederick Blantford Bate were divorced in 1929.1 She married, secondly, Prince Alberto Lombardi in 1929.1 She died in 1948 at Rome, ItalyG.1
She may have been the illegitimate daughter of the 1st Marquess of Cambridge.1 She was also known as Vera.1 She was a nurse during the First World War at FranceG.1 From 1916, her married name became Bate.1 She was employed by CoCo Chanel to make British and European royal family introductions circa 1920.1 From 1929, her married name became Lombardi.1
