     Henry Dermot Ponsonby Moore, 12th Earl of Drogheda was born on 14 January 1937.¹ He is the son of Charles Garrett Ponsonby Moore, 11th Earl of Drogheda and Joan Eleanor Carr.^2,1 He married, firstly, Eliza Lambert Lloyd, daughter of Stacy Barcroft Lloyd, Jr. and Rachel Lowe Lambert, on 15 May 1968.¹ He and Eliza Lambert Lloyd were divorced in 1972.¹ He married, secondly, Alexandra Nicolette Henderson, daughter of Sir John Nicholas Henderson and Mary Barber Cawadias, on 9 December 1978.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was styled as Viscount Moore between 1957 and 1989.
