     Mary Dawson was the daughter of Joshua Dawson and Anne Carr.^1,2 She married Hon. Henry Hamilton, son of Lt.-Gen. Gustavus Hamilton, 1st Viscount Boyne and Elizabeth Brooke, on 27 October 1722. She died in March 1770.¹
     From 27 October 1722, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Reverend Joseph Dawson was born 2 in 1701.² He was the son of Joshua Dawson and Anne Carr.^3,2 He died in 1777.² His will was proven (by probate) in 1777.²
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.² He lived at Castle Dawson, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹

     Mary Cox was the daughter of Sir Richard Cox, 2nd Bt. and Catharine Evans.^1,2 She married Joshua Hamilton, son of Hon. Henry Hamilton and Mary Dawson, in 1750. She died in April 1764.¹
     From 1750, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Sir Richard Cox, 2nd Bt. was born on 23 November 1702 at Dunnanway, County Cork, Ireland.² He was the son of Sir Richard Cox and Susanna French.^2,3 He married Catharine Evans, daughter of Rt. Hon. George Evans and Mary Eyre, on 13 September 1725.² He died on 2 January 1766 at age 63 at Cork, County Cork, Ireland.²
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Cox, of Dunmanway, co. Cork.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.) He held the office of Sheriff of Cork in 1727.

     Henry Hamilton-Cox was the son of Joshua Hamilton and Mary Cox.¹ He married Letitia Hutcheson, daughter of David Wilson Hutcheson.¹ He died in 1821.¹
     He was given the name of Henry Hamilton at birth.¹ In 1784 his name was legally changed to Henry Hamilton-Cox.¹

     David Wilson Hutcheson lived at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     William John Hamilton-Cox is the son of Henry Hamilton-Cox and Letitia Hutcheson.¹ He married Rebecca Armstrong on 16 April 1837.¹
