     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)³ He fought in the Boer War.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Horse Guards.³ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.³ He gained the rank of Senior Commander in the Royal Flying Corps.³ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)³ He held the office of Equerry-in-Ordinary to HM King George V between 1930 and 1936.³

     Alastair James Innes-Ker was born on 4 October 1908 at London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Lord Alastair Robert Innes-Ker and Anne Breese.¹ He married Benedicta Caverhill, daughter of Thomas Caverhill, on 7 September 1939.² He died on 6 July 1944 at age 35 at Normandy, France, killed in action.^2,3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 10th Canadian Armoured Regiment.² He fought in the Second World War.²

     Major David Charles Innes-Ker was born on 7 January 1910 at London, England^G.² He was the son of Lord Alastair Robert Innes-Ker and Anne Breese.² He married Crista Irene Valentine de Paravicini, daughter of Chandos de Paravicini, on 15 November 1939.¹ He and Crista Irene Valentine de Paravicini were divorced in 1948.³ He died on 17 August 1957 at age 47.³

     Charlotte Baird was the daughter of William Baird and Janet Johnstone.¹ She married Captain William George Middleton on 25 October 1882 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.

     William Baird was born on 23 April 1796.² He was the son of Alexander Baird and Jane Moffat.² He married Janet Johnstone, daughter of Thomas Johnstone, on 14 July 1840.³ He died in 1864.²
