     Dorene Elizabeth Mary Toland was born on 20 December 1933.² She was the daughter of Herbert Toland and Gladys Davies.¹ She married Gordon Johnson Borrie, Baron Borrie, son of Stanley Borrie and Alice Forsyth, in 1960.¹ She died on 11 October 2010 at age 76, without issue.³
     From 1960, her married name became Borrie.¹ After her marriage, Dorene Elizabeth Mary Toland was styled as Baroness Borrie on 18 November 1995.
