     Colonel Herbert Austen Smith was born in 1866.² He married Harriet Emma Shewell, daughter of Colonel Arthur Mark Shewell and Harriet Mary Dunsterville.² He died in 1949.²

     Eric Mytton Downes was born in 1901 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.² He was the son of John Francis Downes and Edith Kate Hinds.^2,3

     Alison Mary Birkmyre was born on 5 September 1954.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 3rd Bt. and Gillian Mary Downes.¹ She married John Ailwyn Fellowes, 4th Baron de Ramsey of Ramsey Abbey, son of Ailwyn Edward Fellowes, 3rd Baron de Ramsey of Ramsey Abbey and Lilah Helen Suzanne Labouchere, in 1984.¹
     From 1984, her married name became Fellowes.¹ After her marriage, Alison Mary Birkmyre was styled as Baroness de Ramsey of Ramsey Abbey in 1993.

     John Ailwyn Fellowes, 4th Baron de Ramsey of Ramsey Abbey was born on 27 February 1942.² He is the son of Ailwyn Edward Fellowes, 3rd Baron de Ramsey of Ramsey Abbey and Lilah Helen Suzanne Labouchere.² He married, firstly, Phyllida Mary Forsyth, daughter of Dr. Philip Athelstan Forsyth, on 7 July 1973.² He and Phyllida Mary Forsyth were divorced in 1983.² He married, secondly, Alison Mary Birkmyre, daughter of Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 3rd Bt. and Gillian Mary Downes, in 1984.¹
