     Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 3rd Bt. was born on 12 February 1923.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Birkmyre, 2nd Bt. and Doris Gertrude Smith.¹ He married Gillian Mary Downes, daughter of Eric Mytton Downes and Ella M. Ball, on 2 May 1953. He died on 7 May 2001 at age 78.¹
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in Burma.¹ He was a member of the London Stock Exchange between 1954 and 1988.¹ He was a partner of George Henderson & Company between 1966 and 1975.¹ He was a partner of Henderson Crosthwaite Ltd between 1975 and 1988.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Birkmyre, of Dalmunzie, co. Perth [U.K., 1921] on 10 March 1992.¹

     Sir Henry Birkmyre, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 March 1898.¹ He was the son of Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 1st Bt. and Anne Black.¹ He married Doris Gertrude Smith, daughter of Colonel Herbert Austen Smith and Harriet Emma Shewell, on 7 March 1922. He died on 10 March 1992 at age 93.^1,2
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1916 and 1918, in the Royal Field Artillery, serving in Flanders.¹ He was a director of Assam Consolidated Tea Estates.¹ He was chairman of Malaya General Company.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Birkmyre, of Dalmunzie, co. Perth [U.K., 1921] on 24 June 1935.¹

     Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 1st Bt. was born on 28 June 1875 at Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Henry Birkmyre.¹ He married Anne Black, daughter of Captain James K. Black, on 8 December 1896. He died on 24 June 1935 at age 59.¹
     He was a senior partner of Birkmyre Brothers at Calcutta, India^G.¹ He held the office of Member of the Viceroy of India’s Legislative Council.¹ He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Bengal]¹ He was appointed Knight in 1917.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Birkmyre, of Dalmunzie, co. Perth [U.K., 1921] on 29 January 1921.¹

     Quin Wagner-Piggott was born on 13 June 1999.¹ He is the son of John Piggott and Cosima Wagner.¹

     Anne Black was the daughter of Captain James K. Black.¹ She married Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 1st Bt., son of Henry Birkmyre, on 8 December 1896. She died on 20 February 1959.¹
     From 8 December 1896, her married name became Birkmyre.¹

     Captain James K. Black lived at Arcot, Giffnock, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Doreen Barclay was the daughter of Robert Barclay.¹ She married Archy Birkmyre, son of Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 1st Bt. and Anne Black, on 3 April 1940. She died on 21 April 2005 at Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland^G.²
     From 3 April 1940, her married name became Birkmyre.¹ She lived in 2003 at Dalchonzie Lower Cottage, Comrie, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹
