Sir Colville Adrian de Rune Barclay was born on 17 September 1869.1 He was the son of Sir Colville Arthur Durell Barclay of Pierston, 11th Bt. and Louise Melanie de Belzim.1 He married Sarita Enriqueta Ward, daughter of Herbert Ward, on 10 April 1912.1 He died on 2 June 1929 at age 59.1
     He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Sweden between 1919 and 1924.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Hungary between 1924 and 1928.1 He held the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Portugal between 1928 and 1929.1

Sir Colville Adrian de Rune Barclay, son of Sir Colville Arthur Durell Barclay of Pierston, 11th Bt. and Louise Melanie de Belzim, on 10 April 1912.1 She married, secondly, Robert Gilbert Vansittart, 1st and last Baron Vansittart, son of Robert Arnold Vansittart and Susan Alice Blane, on 29 July 1931.1
     From 10 April 1912, her married name became Barclay.1 From 29 July 1931, her married name became Vansittart.1 After her marriage, Sarita Enriqueta Ward was styled as Baroness Vansittart on 3 July 1941.

C. Heppenheimer, on 7 September 1921.4 He married, secondly, Sarita Enriqueta Ward, daughter of Herbert Ward, on 29 July 1931.1 He died on 14 February 1957.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4 He was with HM Diplomatic Service between 1902 and 1941.4 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1906.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1920.4 He was Secretary of Marquess Curzon, Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs between 1920 and 1924.4 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1927.4 He held the office of Assistant Under Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs between 1928 and 1930.4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1929.4 He held the office of Permanent Under Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs between 1930 and 1938.4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1931.1 He wrote the book Black Record.4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1938.1 He was Chief Diplomatic Advisor to the Foreign Secretary between 1938 and 1941.4 He was appointed Privy Cousnellor (P.C.) in 1940.4 He was created 1st Baron Vansittart, of Denham, co. Buckingham [U.K.] on 3 July 1941.4
