Laura Miranda Bonham Carter, daughter of Sir Maurice Bonham Carter and Lady Helen Violet Asquith, Baroness Asquith of Yarnbury, on 31 May 1938 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 24 October 1993 at age 80 at Orkney Islands, ScotlandG, from a stroke.5
He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)5 He held the office of Leader of Parliamentary Liberal Party between 1956 and 1957.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was created Baron Grimond, of Firth in the County of Orkney [U.K. Life Peer] on 12 October 1983.6
