He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1871 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Baker, of Dunstable House, Richmond, Surrey [G.B., 1796] on 12 February 1877.2 He was an associate of the Institût de droit International in 1879.1 He held the office of Recorder of Helston between 1886 and 1889.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.2 He held the office of Recorder of Barnstaple and Bideford in 1889.1 He was Examiner Preliminary Exams four Inns of Court between 1894 and 1901.2 He was Revising Barrister Cornwall between 1898 and 1901.2 He held the office of Judge of the County Courts between 1901 and 1923.1 He lived at Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.2
