He was given the name of Dodington George Richard Sherston Baker at birth.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)2 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.)2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Medical Service.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Baker, of Dunstable House, Richmond, Surrey [G.B., 1796] on 15 March 1923.1 On 18 April 1923 his name was legally changed to Dodington George Richard Sherston-Baker by Deed Poll.2
