     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was appointed Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1944.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1947 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He wrote the book The God-Kings and the Titans: The New World Ascendancy in Ancient Times, published 1973.²
