     Sir Henry Bacon, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Butts Bacon, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Warner.¹ He married Barbara Gooch, daughter of William Gooch and Martha Layer.¹ He died before 1671.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bacon, of Mildenhall, co. Suffolk [E., 1627] on 29 May 1661, and ‘of Heringfleet, co. Suffolk.¹‘

     Barbara Gooch was the daughter of William Gooch and Martha Layer.^1,2 She married Sir Henry Bacon, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Butts Bacon, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Warner.¹
     Her married name became Bacon.¹

     William Gooch was born in 1571.² He was the son of Robert Gooch.³ He married Martha Layer, daughter of Christopher Layer.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He lived at Mettingham, Suffolk, England^G.²

     Sir Henry Bacon, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Henry Bacon, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Gooch.¹ He married Sarah Castleton, daughter of Sir John Castleton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Morse, on 29 June 1671 at Sturston, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He died circa January 1685/86.¹ He was buried on 13 January 1685/86 at Gillingham, Norfolk, England^G.¹
     He inherited the Gillingham estate from his sister’s husband, Sir Richard Bacon, 3rd Bt.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bacon, of Mildenhall, co. Suffolk [E., 1627] before 1671, and ‘of Heringfleet, co. Suffolk’ and ‘of Gillingham, Norfolk.¹‘

     Sarah Castleton was the daughter of Sir John Castleton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Morse.¹ She married Sir Henry Bacon, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Henry Bacon, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Gooch, on 29 June 1671 at Sturston, Suffolk, England^G.¹ She died on 3 February 1727.¹ She was buried on 7 February 1727 at Gillingham, Norfolk, England^G.¹
     From 29 June 1671, her married name became Bacon.¹

     Sir John Castleton, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir William Castleton, 1st Bt. and unknown Massam.² He married Margaret Morse, daughter of Robert Morse and Margaret Bedingfield, on 26 April 1642.² He died circa November 1677.² He was buried on 20 November 1677 at Sturston, Suffolk, England^G.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Castleton, of St. Edmondsbury, co. Suffolk [E., 1641] circa 1643.² He held the office of Sheriff of Suffolk from 1660 to 1661.²

     Margaret Morse was the daughter of Robert Morse and Margaret Bedingfield.^1,2 She married Sir John Castleton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Castleton, 1st Bt. and unknown Massam, on 26 April 1642.² She died circa August 1702.² She was buried on 12 August 1702 at Sturston, Suffolk, England^G.²
     From 26 April 1642, her married name became Castleton.²

     Robert Morse lived at Hoo Margarets, Sturston, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     Sir Edmund Bacon, 4th Bt. was baptised on 6 April 1672 at Sturston, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Bacon, 3rd Bt. and Sarah Castleton.¹ He married, firstly, Philippa Bacon, daughter of Sir Edmund Bacon, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Crane, circa 25 December 1688 at Redgrave, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Castell, daughter of John Castell, on 16 April 1713 at Raveningham, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He died on 10 July 1721 at age 49.¹ He was buried on 17 July 1721 at Gillingham, Norfolk, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Bacon, of Mildenhall, co. Suffolk [E., 1627] in January 1685/86, and ‘of Gillingham, Norfolk.¹‘ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Orford between 1700 and 1708.¹
