     Elizabeth Chapman was the daughter of Sir Jasper Chapman and Elizabeth Webb.¹ She married Sir Oliver Ayshcombe, 1st and last Bt., son of John Ayshcombe and Joan Banninges, after 1686.¹ She died circa 1719.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) in 1719.¹
     From after 1686, her married name became Ayshcombe.¹

     Sir Jasper Chapman was born circa 1634.² He married, secondly, Elizabeth Webb, daughter of Anthony Webb.¹ He died on 17 March 1688/89.²
     He was also known as John.² He held the office of Lord Mayor of London from 1688 to 1689.¹

     Elizabeth Webb is the daughter of Anthony Webb.¹ She married Sir Jasper Chapman.¹
     Her married name became Chapman.¹

     Anthony Webb married Elizabeth Wood, daughter of Thomas Wood and Susanna Cranmer, on 27 August 1633 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, England^G.² He died circa March 1673.² He was buried on 18 March 1673.²
     He lived at Hackney, London, England^G.¹

     Sir William Chapman, 1st Bt. was born circa 1670.² He was the son of Sir Jasper Chapman and Elizabeth Webb.¹ He married Elizabeth Webb, daughter of Thomas Webb and Susanne (?), circa 1705.² He died on 7 May 1737.² He was buried on 13 May 1737 at St. Peter le Poor, London, England^G.²
     He was a merchant at London, England^G.² He was appointed Knight on 4 October 1714.² He was a director of the South Seas Company.² He was created 1st Baronet Chapman, of London [Great Britain] on 27 June 1720.²

     Sir William Backhouse, 1st and last Bt. was born circa 1641.¹ He was the son of Nicholas Backhouse and Christian Williams.¹ He married Flower Backhouse, daughter of Sir John Backhouse and Flower Henshaw, on 23 November 1662 at St. Andrew’s Church, Holborn, London, England^G.¹ He died on 22 August 1669, without issue.¹ He was buried at Swallowfield, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered on 14 October 1669.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Backhouse [England] on 9 November 1660.¹ He lived in 1664 at Swallowfield, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Berkshire from 1664 to 1665.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Nicholas Backhouse was the son of Rowland Backhouse.¹ He died in 1650.¹
     He lived at London, England^G.¹

     Rowland Backhouse was born circa 1555.¹ He died in 1648.¹
     He held the office of Alderman of London.¹

     Christian Williams was the daughter of William Williams.¹
