     Sir Francis Chester, 8th Bt. was born on 3 May 1694.¹ He was the son of Sir John Chester, 4th Bt. and Anne Wollaston.¹ He was baptised on 9 May 1694 at Shenton, Leicestershire, England^G.¹ He married Bertha Webb, daughter of Thomas Webb and Susanne (?), on 4 March 1717/18.¹ He died on 18 October 1766 at age 72 at a lunatic asylum, Chelsea, London, England^G, without survving male issue.¹ He was buried on 30 October 1766 at St. Augustine’s Church, Hackney, London, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Chester, of Chicheley, co. Bucks [E., 1620] on 25 May 1755.¹ He was a merchant at London, England^G.¹

     Bertha Webb was baptised on 29 January 1683/84 at Chelsea, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Webb and Susanne (?)¹ She married Sir Francis Chester, 8th Bt., son of Sir John Chester, 4th Bt. and Anne Wollaston, on 4 March 1717/18.¹ She died on 29 September 1743 at age 59.¹ She was buried on 5 October 1743 at St. Augustine’s Church, Hackney, London, England^G.¹
     From 4 March 1717/18, her married name became Chester.¹ She inherited a considerable fortune from her cousin, Charles Cranmer.¹

     Thomas Webb was born in 1657 at Chelsea, London, England^G.² He was the son of Anthony Webb and Elizabeth Wood.^3,2 He married Susanne (?)¹
     He was Clerk of the Kitchen to King William III.³ He was also known as Thomas Wood.³

     Susanne (?) was born in 1661 at Chelsea, London, England^G.² She married Thomas Webb, son of Anthony Webb and Elizabeth Wood.¹
     She was also known as Susanna (?)³ Her married name became Webb.³

     Elizabeth Wood was baptised on 2 July 1612 at Hackney, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of Thomas Wood and Susanna Cranmer.^1,2 She married Anthony Webb on 27 August 1633 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, England^G.² She died on 22 October 1689 at age 77.²
     From 27 August 1633, her married name became Webb.²

     Francis Chester was born on 17 July 1724.¹ He was the son of Sir Francis Chester, 8th Bt. and Bertha Webb.¹ He was baptised on 25 July 1724 at Hackney, London, England^G.¹ He died on 18 December 1757 at age 33, unmarried.¹ He was buried on 24 December 1757 at Hackney, London, England^G.¹

     Henry Chester was born on 14 September 1668.¹ He was the son of Sir Anthony Chester, 3rd Bt. and Mary Cranmer.¹ He was baptised on 29 September 1668 at Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He married Theodocia Tower, daughter of Thomas Tower.¹ He died on 6 May 1726 at age 57.¹
     He lived at East Haddon, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹

     Theodocia Tower is the daughter of Thomas Tower.¹ She married Henry Chester, son of Sir Anthony Chester, 3rd Bt. and Mary Cranmer.¹
     Her married name became Chester.¹

     Thomas Tower lived at Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Anthony Chester, 9th Bt. was born circa June 1706 at Astwoodbury, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Chester and Theodocia Tower.¹ He was baptised on 26 June 1706 at Astwood, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He married Elizabeth Burt circa 18 January 1750/51.¹ He died on 17 May 1769, from paralysis, without male issue.¹ He was buried on 23 May 1769 at East Haddon, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹
     He matriculated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, on 10 July 1724.¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1727 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1731 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was ordained in 1731.¹ He was Chaplain of the Mercers’ Company in 1734.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Chester, of Chicheley, co. Bucks [E., 1620] on 18 October 1766.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹
