     Sir Joseph Ayloffe, 6th Bt. was born in 1709.¹ He was the son of Joseph Ayloffe and Mary Ayliffe.¹ He married Margaret Railton, daughter of Thomas Railton, circa 1734.¹ He died on 19 April 1781 at Kensington, London, England^G, without surviving issue.¹ He was buried at Hendon, London, England^G.¹ His will (dated 30 April 1772) was proven (by probate) on 18 May 1781.¹
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Ayloffe, of Braxted Magna, co. Essex [E., 1611] on 10 December 1730, then ‘of Framfield, co. Essex.¹‘ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1732.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1732.¹ He held the office of Keeper of the State Paper Office in 1763.¹ He wrote the book Edmondson’s Baronagium, published between 1764 and 1784, in six volumes.¹ He wrote the book Calendars of the Ancient Charters, etc. and of the Welsh and Scottish Rolls in the Tower of London, published 1772, editor.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
     
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Margaret Railton was born circa 1705.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Railton.¹ She married Sir Joseph Ayloffe, 6th Bt., son of Joseph Ayloffe and Mary Ayliffe, circa 1734.¹ She died on 8 March 1797.¹ She was buried at Hendon, London, England^G.¹
     From circa 1734, her married name became Ayloffe.¹

     Thomas Railton lived at Carlisle, Cumberland, England^G.¹

     Joseph Ayloffe was born circa 1735.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Ayloffe, 6th Bt. and Margaret Railton.¹ He died on 19 December 1756 at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, from smallpox.¹

     Sir Oliver Ayshcombe, 1st and last Bt. was born after 1644.¹ He was the son of John Ayshcombe and Joan Banninges.¹ He married Elizabeth Chapman, daughter of Sir Jasper Chapman and Elizabeth Webb, after 1686.¹ He died before 1727, without issue.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in February 1726/27.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Ayshcombe, of Lyford, co. Berks [England] on 28 May 1696.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     John Ayshcombe was born circa 1598.¹ He died on 17 March 1662.¹
     He lived at Lyford, Berkshire, England^G.¹
