He was admitted to Gray’s Inn on 3 November 1648.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Assheton, of Leverr, co. Lancaster [E., 1620] on 30 January 1679/80, and subsequently ‘of Whalley Abbey and of Downham, Lancashire.1‘

On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
