     Reverend Sir John Ashburnham, 7th Bt. was born on 26 December 1770 at Scotland Yard, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir William Ashburnham, 5th Bt. and Alicia Woodgate.¹ He married, firstly, Fanny Foster, daughter of William Foster, on 4 July 1804 at Hollington, St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Harman, daughter of Thomas Harman, after 1838.¹ He died on 1 September 1854 at age 83 at Guestling Rectory, Guestling, Sussex, England^G.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered in September 1854.¹
     He graduated from Clare Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.)¹ He held the office of Prebendary and Chancellor of Chichester between 1795 and 1854.¹ He was the Rector at Guestling, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was the Vicar between 1816 and 1854 at Pevensey, Sussex, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Ashburnham, of Bromham [in Guestling], Sussex [E., 1661] on 23 March 1843.¹ He lived at Guestling, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Fanny Foster was born on 29 August 1787.¹ She was the daughter of William Foster.¹ She married Reverend Sir John Ashburnham, 7th Bt., son of Sir William Ashburnham, 5th Bt. and Alicia Woodgate, on 4 July 1804 at Hollington, St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex, England^G.¹ She died on 11 April 1838 at age 50.¹
     From 4 July 1804, her married name became Ashburnham.¹

     William Foster lived at Hollington, St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Anne Harman was the daughter of Thomas Harman.¹ She married Reverend Sir John Ashburnham, 7th Bt., son of Sir William Ashburnham, 5th Bt. and Alicia Woodgate, after 1838.¹ She died in 1873, without issue.^1,2
     From after 1838, her married name became Ashburnham.¹

     Sir Anchitel Ashburnham, 8th Bt. was born on 8 February 1828 at Guestling Rectory, Guestling, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was the son of Reverend Sir John Ashburnham, 7th Bt. and Fanny Foster.¹ He married Isabella Martin, daughter of Captain George Bohun Martin, on 7 June 1859 at East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ He died on 2 December 1899 at age 71 at Bromham Park, Bromham, Sussex, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate), at £2,057.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Ashburnham, of Bromham [in Guestling], Sussex [E., 1661] on 1 September 1854.¹ On 26 June 1858 he was found by the House of Lords to be a coheir to the Barony of Grandison [1299], in a third part.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He was a land agent for the Battle Abbey and Normanhurst estates in Sussex.¹ He lived at Bromham, Sussex, England^G.¹

     John Piers Ashburnham was born on 28 March 1821.¹ He was the son of Reverend Sir John Ashburnham, 7th Bt. and Fanny Foster.¹ He died on 8 June 1839 at age 18.¹

     Isabella Martin was the daughter of Captain George Bohun Martin.¹ She married Sir Anchitel Ashburnham, 8th Bt., son of Reverend Sir John Ashburnham, 7th Bt. and Fanny Foster, on 7 June 1859 at East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ She died on 4 January 1907.²
     From 7 June 1859, her married name became Ashburnham.¹

     Captain George Bohun Martin was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)² He lived at East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Crabbs Abbey, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Sir Anchitel Ashburnham-Clement, 9th Bt. was born on 22 August 1861.¹ He was the son of Sir Anchitel Ashburnham, 8th Bt. and Isabella Martin.¹ He married Elizabeth Ellen Clement, daughter of George Burry Clement, on 4 December 1895.¹ He died on 5 August 1935 at age 73.²
     He was given the name of Anchitel Ashburnham at birth.¹ In 1899 his name was legally changed to Anchitel Ashburnham-Clement by Royal Licence.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Ashburnham, of Bromham [in Guestling], Sussex [E., 1661] on 2 December 1899.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)²
