Patricia Evangeline Anne Arbuthnot was born on 17 March 1914.1 She was the daughter of Major John Bernard Arbuthnot and Olive Blake.1 She married, firstly, Arthur Cecil Byron, son of Cecil Byron, on 10 October 1933.1 She and Arthur Cecil Byron were divorced in 1940.1 She married, secondly, Francis Claud Cockburn, son of Henry Cockburn and Elizabeth Gordon Stevenson, in 1940.1 She died on 6 October 1989 at age 75.1
From 10 October 1933, her married name became Byron.1 From 1940, her married name became Cockburn.1 She wrote the book The Years of the Week.1 She wrote the book Figure of Eight.3
