He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1941 and 1945, where he served in the South West Pacific and was a Prisoner of War.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Anson, of Hatch Beauchamp, co. Devon [U.K., 1831] on 26 June 1951.1 He was commander of the H.M.S. Alert on the Far East Station between 1957 and 1958.1 He gained the rank of commander between 1961 and 1962 in the H.M.S. Broadsword.1 He gained the rank of commanding officer between 1966 and 1968 in the H.M.S. Naiad.1 He gained the rank of commanding officer between 1968 and 1970 in the H.M.S. Mercury.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1974.1 He was chairman of Marconi Space Systems in 1985.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Surrey in 1993.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Surrey in 1993.1 He lived in 2003 at Rosefield, 81 Boundstone Road, Rowledge, Farnham, Surrey, EnglandG.1
