     Sir George Aleyn, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir George Aleyn, 4th Bt. and Martha Jones.¹ He married Mercy Clopton, daughter of John Clopton.¹ He died in 1702.¹ He was buried at Little Leighs, Essex, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Aleyn, of Hatfield, co. Essex [E., 1629] in 1664, and then ‘of Little Leighs, co. Essex.¹‘

     Mercy Clopton is the daughter of John Clopton.¹ She married Sir George Aleyn, 5th Bt., son of Sir George Aleyn, 4th Bt. and Martha Jones.¹
     Her married name became Aleyn.¹

     Sir Clopton Aleyn, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir George Aleyn, 5th Bt. and Mercy Clopton.¹ He died on 8 September 1726, unmarried.¹ He was buried at Little Leighs, Essex, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Aleyn, of Hatfield, co. Essex [E., 1629] in 1702, and then ‘of Little Leighs, co. Essex.¹‘

     Sir George Aleyn, 7th Bt. was the son of Sir George Aleyn, 5th Bt. and Mercy Clopton.¹ He died circa 1746, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Aleyn, of Hatfield, co. Essex [E., 1629] on 8 September 1726, and then ‘of Little Leighs, co. Essex.¹‘

     Edward Aleyn is the son of Sir George Aleyn, 5th Bt. and Mercy Clopton.¹ He married Mary Trott, daughter of Reverend unknown Trott.¹

     Reverend unknown Trott was the Vicar at Great Saling, Essex, England^G.¹

     Sir Edmund Aleyn, 8th Bt. was the son of Edward Aleyn and Mary Trott.¹ He died on 15 September 1759 at Bath, Somerset, England^G, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Aleyn, of Hatfield, co. Essex [E., 1629] circa 1746, and then ‘of Little Leighs, co. Essex.¹‘ He held the office of Sheriff of Essex from 1752 to 1753.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Arabella Aleyn was the daughter of Sir Edmund Aleyn, 2nd Bt. and Frances Gent.¹ She married, firstly, Francis Thompson.¹ She married, secondly, Hon. George Howard, son of Henry Howard, 6th Duke of Norfolk.¹
     Her married name became Howard.¹ Her married name became Thompson.¹ In 1656 she inherited her father’s estates.¹
