Friedrich Franz IV Michael Großherzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin was born on 9 April 1882 at Palermo, Sicily, ItalyG.3 He was the son of Friedrich Franz III Großherzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Anastasiya Mikhailovna Romanov, Grand Duchess of Russia.4 He married Alexandra Luise Prinzessin von Hannover, daughter of Ernst August II Wilhelm Adolf Georg Friedrich Prinz von Hannover and Thyra Amelia Caroline Charlotte Anne zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Denmark, on 7 June 1904 at Gmunden, Ober-Osterreich, AustriaG.5 He died on 17 November 1945 at age 63 at Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, GermanyG.3
