     He was also known as King Louis of the East Franks.

     Charles II, Roi de France was born on 13 June 839. He was the son of Louis II ‘the German’, King of the East Franks and Emma von Bayern.1 He died on 13 January 888 at age 48.2
     Charles II, Roi de France also went by the nick-name of Charles ‘the Fat’.2 He was crowned Holy Roman Emperor in 881.2 He succeeded as the Emperor Charles III of the Holy Roman Empire in 881.2 He succeeded as the Roi Charles II de France in 885.1 He was deposed as Holy Roman Emperor in 887.2

     Ermentrude d‘Orléans was born on 27 October 830.1 She was the daughter of Odo, Comte de Orléans and Ingeltrud von Fézensac von Paris.2,3 She married Charles I, Roi des Francs, son of Louis I, Roi des Francs and Judith von Bayern, on 13 December 846.1 She died on 6 October 869 at age 38 at St. Denis, Paris, France.1

     Louis II ‘the Stammerer’, Roi des Francs was born on 1 November 843.2 He was the son of Charles I, Roi des Francs and Ermentrude d‘Orléans.1 He married, firstly, Ansgarde de Bourgogne in 862. He married Adelaide Judith de Paris, daughter of Adalhard, Comte de Paris and Hedwig von Buchau, in 875.2 He died on 10 April 879 at age 35 at Compiegn, FranceG.2
     He gained the title of King Louis II of Neustria in 856. He gained the title of Roi Louis II d’Aquitaine in 867. He gained the title of Roi des Francs in 877.1

     Lady Susan Montagu was born on 18 September 1797 at Kimbolton Castle, Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of William Montagu, 5th Duke of Manchester and Lady Susan Gordon.1 She married Field Marshal George Hay, 8th Marquess of Tweeddale, son of George Hay, 7th Marquess of Tweeddale and Lady Hannah Charlotte Maitland, on 28 March 1816.3 She died on 5 March 1870 at age 72 at Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2
     From 28 March 1816, her married name became Hay. After her marriage, Lady Susan Montagu was styled as Marchioness of Tweeddale on 28 March 1816.
