Willem V Batavus van Oranje-Nassau, Prince of Orange was born on 8 March 1748.3 He was the son of Willem IV van Oranje-Nassau, Prince of Orange and Anne Hanover, Princess Royal of Great Britain. He married Friederike Sophie Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Preußen, daughter of August Wilhelm Prinz von Preußen and Luise Amalie Prinzessin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, on 4 October 1767.3 He died on 9 April 1806 at age 58.3
He gained the title of Prinz von Nassau-Dietz.3 He succeeded as the Stadtholder of the United Provinces of the Netherlands in 1751.4 He gained the title of Prince Willem V of Orange in 1751.3 He was deposed as Prince of Orange-Nassau and Stadtholder of the United Provinces of the Netherlands in 1795.4 He gained the title of Prince Willem of Fulda in 1802.3 He gained the title of Count of Corvey in 1802.3
