     Rosemary Joy Farris is the daughter of Charles Farris.¹ She married Edward Henry Berkeley Portman, 9th Viscount Portman of Bryanston, son of Hon. Michael Berkeley Portman and Madelaine June Charles, on 26 September 1956.¹ She and Edward Henry Berkeley Portman, 9th Viscount Portman of Bryanston were divorced in 1965.¹
     Her married name became Portman.

     Major Hon. Edward William Berkeley Portman was born on 30 July 1856.² He was the son of William Henry Berkeley Portman, 2nd Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Hon. Mary Selina Charlotte FitzWilliam.² He married Hon. Constance Mary Lawley, daughter of Beilby Richard Lawley, 2nd Baron Wenlock and Lady Elizabeth Grosvenor, on 7 July 1892.¹ He died on 27 April 1911 at age 54, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Somerset in 1898.² He gained the rank of Major in the Dorset Yeomanry.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset.²

     Walter George Berkeley Portman was born on 2 June 1858.¹ He was the son of William Henry Berkeley Portman, 2nd Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Hon. Mary Selina Charlotte FitzWilliam.² He died on 14 December 1865 at age 7.¹

     Henry Berkeley Portman, 3rd Viscount Portman of Bryanston was born on 16 February 1860.¹ He was the son of William Henry Berkeley Portman, 2nd Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Hon. Mary Selina Charlotte FitzWilliam.² He married Emma Andalusia Frere Kennedy, daughter of Lord Nigel Kennedy and Catherine Anne May, on 25 September 1901.² He died on 18 January 1923 at age 62.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Portman of Orchard Portman, co. Somerset [U.K., 1837] on 16 October 1919.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Portman of Bryanston, co. Dorset [U.K., 1873] on 16 October 1919.¹

     Hon. Selina Luisa Portman was born on 11 September 1903.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Berkeley Portman, 3rd Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Emma Andalusia Frere Kennedy.^1,2 She died on 17 July 1945 at age 41.¹

     Claud Berkeley Portman, 4th Viscount Portman of Bryanston was born on 1 November 1864.¹ He was the son of William Henry Berkeley Portman, 2nd Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Hon. Mary Selina Charlotte FitzWilliam.² He married, firstly, Mary Ada Gordon-Cumming, daughter of Francis Hastings Toone Gordon-Cumming and Emma Campbell, on 9 February 1888.¹ He and Mary Ada Gordon-Cumming were divorced in 1897.¹ He married, secondly, Harriette Mary Stevenson, daughter of William Stevenson, on 12 March 1898.¹ He died on 6 June 1929 at age 64.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Dorset Yeomanry Cavalry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Portman of Bryanston, co. Dorset [U.K., 1873] on 18 January 1923.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Portman of Orchard Portman, co. Somerset [U.K., 1837] on 18 January 1923.¹

     Mary Ada Gordon-Cumming was the daughter of Francis Hastings Toone Gordon-Cumming and Emma Campbell. She married, firstly, Claud Berkeley Portman, 4th Viscount Portman of Bryanston, son of William Henry Berkeley Portman, 2nd Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Hon. Mary Selina Charlotte FitzWilliam, on 9 February 1888.¹ She and Claud Berkeley Portman, 4th Viscount Portman of Bryanston were divorced in 1897.¹ She married, secondly, Ralph Assheton Harbord, son of Rev. Hon. John Harbord and Caroline Penelope Hamond, on 7 June 1899.² She died on 13 May 1900.¹
     From 9 February 1888, her married name became Portman. From 7 June 1899, her married name became Harbord.

     Francis Hastings Toone Gordon-Cumming was born on 28 March 1842.¹ He was the son of Sir William Gordon Gordon-Cumming of Altyre, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Maria Campbell.² He married Emma Campbell, daughter of John Campbell, on 9 April 1863.¹ He died in 1883.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Bombay Staff Corps.¹

     Arthur Frederic Bobbett was born in 1854 at Bristol, England.¹ He married Isabella Fox, daughter of George Frederic Fox and Sarah Anne Newsom, in 1881 at Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He died in 1944 at Norton, England.¹
     He was a corn and flour merchant.¹

     Emma Campbell was the daughter of John Campbell.² She married Francis Hastings Toone Gordon-Cumming, son of Sir William Gordon Gordon-Cumming of Altyre, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Maria Campbell, on 9 April 1863.¹
     Her married name became Gordon-Cumming.
