     Caroline Anne Caithness was the daughter of George Caithness.² She married John Henry Wellington Graham Loftus, 4th Marquess of Ely, son of John Henry Loftus, 3rd Marquess of Ely and Jane Hope-Vere, on 9 December 1875.¹ She died on 27 May 1917.¹
     After her marriage, Caroline Anne Caithness was styled as Marchioness of Ely on 9 December 1875. From 9 December 1875, her married name became Loftus.

     Lord George William Loftus was born on 11 May 1815.¹ He was the son of John Loftus, 2nd Marquess of Ely and Anna Maria Dashwood.² He married Martha Fuller, daughter of J. Fuller, on 21 June 1846.¹ He died on 19 January 1877 at age 61, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     Martha Fuller was the daughter of J. Fuller.² She married Lord George William Loftus, son of John Loftus, 2nd Marquess of Ely and Anna Maria Dashwood, on 21 June 1846.¹ She died on 6 April 1858.¹
     Her married name became Loftus.

     J. Fuller lived at Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Rev. Lord Adam Loftus was born on 13 May 1816.¹ He was the son of John Loftus, 2nd Marquess of Ely and Anna Maria Dashwood.² He married Margaret Fannin, daughter of Robert Fannin and Mary Anne Fossitt, on 11 June 1846.¹ He died on 25 December 1866 at age 50.¹
     He was the Rector at Magheraculmoney, County Fermanagh, Ireland^G.¹

     Margaret Fannin was born circa 1820 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² She was the daughter of Robert Fannin and Mary Anne Fossitt.^3,2 She married Rev. Lord Adam Loftus, son of John Loftus, 2nd Marquess of Ely and Anna Maria Dashwood, on 11 June 1846.¹ She died on 3 May 1902 at Derryvullan, Irvinestown, County Fermanagh, Ireland.^1,2
     Her married name became Loftus.

     Robert Fannin was born in 1778 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² He married Mary Anne Fossitt in July 1805 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² He died on 18 January 1842 at Leeson Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.²
     He lived at Leeson Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     John Henry Loftus, 5th Marquess of Ely was born on 6 March 1851.¹ He was the son of Rev. Lord Adam Loftus and Margaret Fannin.² He married Margaret Emma Clark, daughter of F. A. Clark, on 21 November 1895.¹ He died on 18 December 1925 at age 74, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baron Loftus of Long Loftus, co. York [U.K., 1801] on 3 April 1889.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Tottenham [I., 1780] on 3 April 1889.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Loftus of Loftus Hall, co. Wexford [I., 1785] on 3 April 1889.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Marquess of Ely [I., 1801] on 3 April 1889.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Ely [I., 1794] on 3 April 1889.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Loftus of Ely [I., 1789] on 3 April 1889.¹

     Margaret Emma Clark was the daughter of F. A. Clark.² She married John Henry Loftus, 5th Marquess of Ely, son of Rev. Lord Adam Loftus and Margaret Fannin, on 21 November 1895.¹ She died on 1 August 1931.¹
     After her marriage, Margaret Emma Clark was styled as Marchioness of Ely on 21 November 1895. From 21 November 1895, her married name became Loftus.
