     Richard Jervoise is the son of Thomas Jervoise and Elizabeth Stonhouse.

     Elizabeth Stonhouse is the daughter of Sir John Stonhouse, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Cole. She married Thomas Jervoise, son of Thomas Jervoise and Mary Purefoy.
     Her married name became Jervoise.

     Thomas Jervoise was born on 16 March 1616. He was the son of Sir Thomas Jervoise and Lucy Powlett. He married Mary Purefoy, daughter of George Purefoy, on 30 July 1657.¹ He died on 13 May 1693 at age 77.
     He gained the rank of Captain of Horse between 1643 and 1646 in the Parliamentary Army.¹ He gained the rank of Captain of Militia Horse in 1660.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Hampshire from 1666 to 1667.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire between 1673 and 1676.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hampshire in 1680.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hampshire in 1689.¹

     Mary Purefoy is the daughter of George Purefoy.¹ She married Thomas Jervoise, son of Sir Thomas Jervoise and Lucy Powlett, on 30 July 1657.¹
     From 30 July 1657, her married name became Jervoise.

     Sir Thomas Jervoise married, firstly, Lucy Powlett, daughter of Sir Richard Powlett. He died in 1654.
     He lived at Britford, Wiltshire, England.

     Lucy Powlett is the daughter of Sir Richard Powlett. She married Sir Thomas Jervoise.
     Her married name became Jervoise.

     Sir Richard Powlett is the son of unknown Powlett.
     He lived at Herriard, Hampshire, England.

     George Purefoy lived at Wadley, Berkshire, England.¹
