     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.¹

     Inigo Brassey Freeman-Thomas, 2nd Marquess of Willingdon was born on 25 July 1899.² He was the son of Freeman Freeman-Thomas, 1st Marquess of Willingdon and Lady Marie Adelaide Brassey.² He married, firstly, Maxine Frances Mary Forbes-Robertson, daughter of Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson and May Gertrude Dermot, on 8 October 1924.² He and Maxine Frances Mary Forbes-Robertson were divorced in 1932.² He married, secondly, Mary Gwendoline Foster, daughter of Basil Samuel Foster, on 6 June 1934.² He and Mary Gwendoline Foster were divorced in 1939.² He married, thirdly, Daphne Caldwell, daughter of Seymour Caldwell, on 9 June 1943.² He died on 19 March 1979 at age 79.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Willingdon, of Ratton, co. Sussex [U.K., 1910] on 12 August 1941.⁴ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Ratendone, of Willingdon, co. Sussex [U.K., 1931] on 12 August 1941.⁴ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Willingdon [U.K., 1931] on 12 August 1941.⁴ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Willingdon [U.K., 1924] on 12 August 1941.⁴ He succeeded as the 2nd Marquess of Willingdon [U.K., 1936] on 12 August 1941.⁴ He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)²

     Maxine Frances Mary Forbes-Robertson is the daughter of Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson and May Gertrude Dermot.^2,3 She married Inigo Brassey Freeman-Thomas, 2nd Marquess of Willingdon, son of Freeman Freeman-Thomas, 1st Marquess of Willingdon and Lady Marie Adelaide Brassey, on 8 October 1924.² She and Inigo Brassey Freeman-Thomas, 2nd Marquess of Willingdon were divorced in 1932.²
     Her married name became Freeman-Thomas.

     Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson was born on 16 January 1853 at London, England^G.¹ He was the son of John Forbes-Robertson.¹ He married May Gertrude Dermot, daughter of Thomas Dermot, in 1900. He died on 6 November 1937 at age 84 at St. Margaret’s Bay, Dover, Kent, England^G.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was an actor and manager.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1913.¹

     Mary Gwendoline Foster was the daughter of Basil Samuel Foster.² She married, secondly, Frederick Robert Cullingford.³ She married, thirdly, Brigadier Donald Croft-Wilcock.³ She married, firstly, Inigo Brassey Freeman-Thomas, 2nd Marquess of Willingdon, son of Freeman Freeman-Thomas, 1st Marquess of Willingdon and Lady Marie Adelaide Brassey, on 6 June 1934.⁴ She and Inigo Brassey Freeman-Thomas, 2nd Marquess of Willingdon were divorced in 1939.⁴ She married, fourthly, Sir Dudley Richard Forwood, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Dudley Baines Forwood, 2nd Bt. and Norah Isabella Lockett, on 27 May 1952.³ She died on 1 May 1999.³
     Her married name became Cullingford.³ Her married name became Croft-Wilcock.³ From 6 June 1934, her married name became Freeman-Thomas. After her marriage, Mary Gwendoline Foster was styled as Marchioness of Willingdon on 12 August 1941. From 27 May 1952, her married name became Forwood.

     Daphne Caldwell is the daughter of Seymour Caldwell.² She married Inigo Brassey Freeman-Thomas, 2nd Marquess of Willingdon, son of Freeman Freeman-Thomas, 1st Marquess of Willingdon and Lady Marie Adelaide Brassey, on 9 June 1943.²
     After her marriage, Daphne Caldwell was styled as Marchioness of Willingdon on 9 June 1943. From 9 June 1943, her married name became Freeman-Thomas.

     Seymour Caldwell died before 1963.

     Caroline Diana Todd is the daughter of Brigadier George Herbert Norris Todd.² She married Robert Noel Brand Brooks, son of Major Noel Brand Brooks and Joan Margaret Le Marchant, on 8 October 1955.¹
     From 8 October 1955, her married name became Brooks. She lived in 2003 at Castle Barn, Churchill, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Major Noel Brand Brooks was born on 17 December 1896.² He was the son of Hon. Marshall Jones Brooks and Florence Thomas.² He married Joan Margaret Le Marchant, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Sir Edward Thomas Le Marchant, 4th Bt. and Evelyn Brooks Knowles, on 29 September 1921.² He died in 1984.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Major in the Cheshire Yeomanry.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.² He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)² He was chairman of Bolsover Colliery Company Ltd.²
