     He was a songwriter and poet.

     David Plenderleath Sellar was born on 27 April 1833 at Golspie, Sutherland, Scotland.¹ He married, firstly, Mary van Horn Norrie in 1859.¹ He married, secondly, Augusta Caroline Georgina Dennistoun, daughter of Alexander Dennistoun and Georgina Oakeley, in July 1893 at London, England.¹ He died on 22 October 1901 at age 68 at Bradfield, Berkshire, England.¹

     Mary van Horn Norrie was born in 1832.¹ She married David Plenderleath Sellar in 1859.¹ She died in 1888.¹

     James Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart was born on 17 April 1891 at Marylebone, London, England.¹ He was the son of William James Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart of Castlemilk and Constance Marie de Lormet Dennistoun.¹ He died on 9 November 1914 at age 23 at Ypres, Belgium, from wounds received in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Battaion, Scots Guards.¹
