Sir Alexander Hay Seton of Abercorn, 10th Bt.1 
He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Scots.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Seton, of Abercorn, co. Linlithgow [N.S., 1663] on 3 July 1932.3 He held the office of Carrick Pursuivant of Arms between 1935 and 1939.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1
