Captain Henry Upton1

     Captain Henry Upton was baptised on 6 September 1592.2 He was the son of Arthur Upton and Gertrude Fortescue.2 He married Mary Clotworthy, daughter of Sir Hugh Clotworthy.1
     On 28 November 1625 he received a grant of Castle Norton (now Castle Upton) from Humphrey Norton.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carrickfergus.2 He lived at Castle Upton, County Antrim, Ireland.1 He also had three other sons and three daughters.3
