Sir Uvedale Price, 1st Bt. 
Sir Uvedale Price, 1st Bt. was born in 1747. He was the son of Robert Price and Sarah Barrington. He married Lady Caroline Carpenter, daughter of George Carpenter, 1st Earl of Tyrconnell and Frances Clifton, on 28 April 1774. He died on 14 September 1829 at Foxley, Yazor, Herefordshire, England.
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England. He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. He held the office of Sheriff of Herefordshire in 1793. He wrote the book An Essay on the Picturesque, published 1796. He gained the title of 1st Baronet Price on 12 February 1828.

Lady Caroline Carpenter was born in 1755.1 She was the daughter of George Carpenter, 1st Earl of Tyrconnell and Frances Clifton. She married Sir Uvedale Price, 1st Bt., son of Robert Price and Sarah Barrington, on 28 April 1774. She died on 16 July 1826.
From 28 April 1774, her married name became Price.
