     Colin Charteris Charteris was born on 1 June 1889.¹ He was the son of Hugo Richard Charteris, 11th Earl of Wemyss and Mary Constance Wyndham.¹ He died on 27 December 1892 at age 3.¹

     Hon. Yvo Alan Charteris was born on 6 October 1896.² He was the son of Hugo Richard Charteris, 11th Earl of Wemyss and Mary Constance Wyndham.² He died on 17 October 1915 at age 19, killed in action.²
     He fought in the First World War.² He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards.¹

     Lady Cynthia Mary Evelyn Charteris was born on 27 September 1887.² She was the daughter of Hugo Richard Charteris, 11th Earl of Wemyss and Mary Constance Wyndham.² She married Hon. Herbert Asquith, son of Herbert Henry Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith and Helen Kelsall Melland, on 28 July 1910.¹ She died on 31 March 1960 at age 72.¹
     Her married name became Asquith. She has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.³
     

     Diana Eveline Montagu Battye is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Perceval Lawrence Montagu Battye.¹ She married Michael Henry Asquith, son of Hon. Herbert Asquith and Lady Cynthia Mary Evelyn Charteris, on 17 February 1938.¹ She and Michael Henry Asquith were divorced in 1952.¹
     Her married name became Asquith.

     Michael Henry Asquith was born on 25 July 1914.¹ He is the son of Hon. Herbert Asquith and Lady Cynthia Mary Evelyn Charteris.¹ He married, firstly, Diana Eveline Montagu Battye, daughter of Lt.-Col. Perceval Lawrence Montagu Battye, on 17 February 1938.¹ He and Diana Eveline Montagu Battye were divorced in 1952.¹ He married, secondly, Helga Brigitta Ebba Elizabeth Ritter, daughter of Dr. Walther Sigmund Casimir Ritter, on 8 October 1953.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He lived in 2003 at 149 Rusthall Avenue, London, England.¹

     John Michael Asquith was born on 9 May 1911.¹ He was the son of Hon. Herbert Asquith and Lady Cynthia Mary Evelyn Charteris.¹ He died in May 1937.¹

     Lt.-Col. Perceval Lawrence Montagu Battye was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Annabel Laura Marguerite Asquith was born on 25 March 1939.¹ She was the daughter of Michael Henry Asquith and Diana Eveline Montagu Battye.¹ She married Jasper R. Ungoed-Thomas, son of Sir Arwyn Lynn Ungoed-Thomas and Dorothy Wolfe, on 7 October 1961.¹ She died in 1971.¹
     She was educated at Hatherop Castle School, Gloucestershire, England.¹ She graduated from Somerville College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ Her married name became Ungoed-Thomas.

     Jasper R. Ungoed-Thomas is the son of Sir Arwyn Lynn Ungoed-Thomas and Dorothy Wolfe.¹ He married Annabel Laura Marguerite Asquith, daughter of Michael Henry Asquith and Diana Eveline Montagu Battye, on 7 October 1961.¹
     He lived in 2003 at 13 Westbourne Park Road, London, England.¹
