     Sir Hugh de Wrottesley was the son of Sir William de Wrottesley and Joan Basset.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hampton, daughter of Sir John de Hampton.¹ He married, secondly, Mabel de Rees, daughter of Sir Philip de Rees.¹ He married, thirdly, Isabella Arderne, daughter of Sir John Arderne.¹ He died in 1381.¹
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)¹ He fought in the Battle of Crécy in 1346, in the Black Prince’s division.¹

     Elizabeth Hampton is the daughter of Sir John de Hampton.² She married Sir Hugh de Wrottesley, son of Sir William de Wrottesley and Joan Basset.¹
     She lived Elderstoke.¹

     John de Wrottesley was born circa 1379.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh de Wrottesley and Elizabeth Hampton.² He married Elizabeth de Standish, daughter of Sir Robert de Standish.¹ He died in 1402.¹

     Elizabeth de Standish is the daughter of Sir Robert de Standish.² She married John de Wrottesley, son of Sir Hugh de Wrottesley and Elizabeth Hampton.¹

     Hugh Wrottesley was the son of John de Wrottesley and Elizabeth de Standish.² He married Thomasine Gresley, daughter of Sir John Gresley.¹ He died in 1464.¹

     Sir John Gresley lived at Drakelowe.¹

     Thomasine Gresley is the daughter of Sir John Gresley.² She married Hugh Wrottesley, son of John de Wrottesley and Elizabeth de Standish.¹
     Her married name became Wrottesley.

     Sir Walter Wrottesley was the son of Hugh Wrottesley and Thomasine Gresley.² He married Jane Baron, daughter of William Baron.¹ He died in 1473.¹
     He held the office of Chamberlain of the Exchequer.¹ In 1470 he was proclaimed a traitor.¹ In 1471 on the brief restoration of King Henry VI he held Calais as Warwick’s Lieutenant but after Warwick’s death at Battle of Barnet, he gave up Calais to King Edward IV on condition he and the garrison were pardoned.¹
