     He was educated at St. Benedict’s College, Ealing, London, England.¹

     Captain H. C. Cowell lived at Southsea, Hampshire, England.¹

     Mercia Cecelia Cowell was the daughter of Captain H. C. Cowell.² She married Joseph Hubert Edward Pius Talbot, son of Reginald Aloysius Talbot and Mabile Mary Arundell, on 5 January 1943.¹ She died on 30 October 2008.¹
     From 5 January 1943, her married name became Talbot.¹

     Hannah Thompson married John Betjemann, son of Goerge Betjemann and Sarah (?), in 1870 at Islington, London, England.¹

     Sarah (?) was born circa 1799 at City Road, London, England.¹ She married Goerge Betjemann.¹ She died in 1870.¹
     Her married name became Betjemann.¹

     Eleanor Sophia Stuart was born in 1848 at Woolwich, Kent, England.¹ She married Andrew Stephen in 1868 at Woolwich, Kent, England.¹
     From 1868, her married name became Stephen.¹
