     Charles Granville Menteth was born on 8 September 1828.¹ He was the son of Charles Granville Stuart-Menteth and Cecilia Louisa Cecil.² He married Cecil Trower, daughter of Hutches Trower, on 16 June 1868.¹ He died on 10 April 1907 at age 78, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.¹

     Cecil Trower was the daughter of Hutches Trower. She married Charles Granville Menteth, son of Charles Granville Stuart-Menteth and Cecilia Louisa Cecil, on 16 June 1868.¹ She died in 1896.¹
     From 16 June 1868, her married name became Menteth.

     Colonel William Stuart-Menteth was born on 31 July 1805.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Granville Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 1st Bt. and Ludivina Loughnan.² He married Sarah Breviter Hamilton, daughter of Colonel George Hamilton and Elizabeth Sparrow, in September 1826.¹ He died on 11 July 1857 at age 51, India.^1,3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Bengal Army.¹

     Colonel George Hamilton married Elizabeth Sparrow.²

     Sarah Breviter Hamilton was born in March 1811 at Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England.² She was the daughter of Colonel George Hamilton and Elizabeth Sparrow.^3,2 She was baptised on 20 October 1811.² She married, firstly, Colonel William Stuart-Menteth, son of Sir Charles Granville Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 1st Bt. and Ludivina Loughnan, in September 1826.¹ She married, secondly, Captain Alexander Bishop Chalmers on 19 November 1863 at Simla, Bengal, India.² She died on 29 April 1900 at age 89 at Simla, India.²
     From September 1826, her married name became Stuart-Menteth. From 19 November 1863, her married name became Menteth-Chalmers.²

     Sir James Frederick Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 4th Bt. was born on 26 February 1846.¹ He is the son of Colonel William Stuart-Menteth and Sarah Breviter Hamilton.² He married, firstly, Frances Octavia Moore Sleigh, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir James Wallace Sleigh, on 12 August 1868.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Alyson Blackett, daughter of Captain Edward Algernon Blackett and Lucia Minchin, on 5 September 1888.² He died on 7 September 1926 at age 80.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 2nd Dragoon Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Stuart-Menteth, of Closeburn, co. Dumfries and Mansfield, co. Ayr [U.K., 1838] on 28 October 1918.¹

     Ludivina Stuart-Menteth was the daughter of Colonel William Stuart-Menteth and Sarah Breviter Hamilton.² She married Brevet Lt.-Col. J. F. Nembhard.¹ She died in 1856.¹
     Her married name became Nembhard.¹

     Brevet Lt.-Col. J. F. Nembhard married Ludivina Stuart-Menteth, daughter of Colonel William Stuart-Menteth and Sarah Breviter Hamilton.¹
     He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the 50th Bengal Native Infantry.¹

     Sarah Selina Hamilton Stuart-Menteth was born on 18 May 1840.^2,3 She was the daughter of Colonel William Stuart-Menteth and Sarah Breviter Hamilton.⁴ She married Colonel Gerard Noel Money, son of Reverend James Drummond Money and Charlotte Christiana Noel, on 29 April 1857 at Simla, Bengal, India.^1,2 She died on 8 June 1915 at age 75 at Chesterfield, Virginia, U.S.A.^1,5,3
     From 29 April 1857, her married name became Money.

     Colonel Gerard Noel Money was born on 17 February 1835 at Blatherwick, Northamptonshire, England.² He was the son of Reverend James Drummond Money and Charlotte Christiana Noel.³ He was baptised on 1 May 1835 at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.³ He married Sarah Selina Hamilton Stuart-Menteth, daughter of Colonel William Stuart-Menteth and Sarah Breviter Hamilton, on 29 April 1857 at Simla, Bengal, India.^1,3 He died on 11 February 1895 at age 59 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.³
     He did his National Service as a Lieutnant-Colonel in the Bengal Staff Corps.³ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹
