     Major Arthur Hastings Stuart-Menteth was born on 13 February 1882.¹ He was the son of Sir James Frederick Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 4th Bt. and Frances Octavia Moore Sleigh.² He married Mabel Frances Morton, daughter of Surgn.-Maj. E. Morton, on 20 December 1913.¹ He died in 1956, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.¹

     Surgn.-Maj. E. Morton gained the rank of Surgeon-Major in the Indian Medical Service.¹

     Mabel Frances Morton was the daughter of Surgn.-Maj. E. Morton.² She married, firstly, R. C. Hickie before 1913.¹ She married, secondly, Major Arthur Hastings Stuart-Menteth, son of Sir James Frederick Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 4th Bt. and Frances Octavia Moore Sleigh, on 20 December 1913.¹ She died in 1956.¹
     From before 1913, her married name became Hickie.¹ From 20 December 1913, her married name became Stuart-Menteth.

     Lillian Frances Stuart-Menteth was born on 24 February 1884.¹ She was the daughter of Sir James Frederick Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 4th Bt. and Frances Octavia Moore Sleigh.² She married Reverend Gilbert Biscoe Ramsay, son of George Gilbert Ramsay and Gertrude Schulyer Graham, on 18 April 1928.¹ She died on 7 January 1958 at age 73.¹
     From 18 April 1928, her married name became Ramsay.¹

     Archibald Crawford of Brecroft married Janet Simpson, daughter of unknown Simpson of Aichintire.¹

     Elizabeth Alyson Blackett was the daughter of Captain Edward Algernon Blackett and Lucia Minchin.² She married Sir James Frederick Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 4th Bt., son of Colonel William Stuart-Menteth and Sarah Breviter Hamilton, on 5 September 1888.¹ She died on 30 November 1915.¹
     From 5 September 1888, her married name became Stuart-Menteth.¹

     Montagu Stuart-Menteth was born on 16 June 1893 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Sir James Frederick Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Alyson Blackett.³ He died in 1970 at Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.²
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Lincolnshire Regiment.¹ He was Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Air Force.¹

     Hon. Thomas Martin Lindsay was born on 5 March 1915.¹ He was the son of Alexander Dunlop Lindsay, 1st Baron Lindsay of Birker and Erica Violet Storr.¹ He married, firstly, Denise Theresa Vaughan, daughter of Gerald Albert Vaughan, on 7 September 1939.¹ He and Denise Theresa Vaughan were divorced in 1950.¹ He married, secondly, Felicitas Lange, daughter of Dr. Martin Lange, in 1950.¹ He and Felicitas Lange were divorced in 1960.¹ He married, thirdly, Erica Thirkell-Cooper, daughter of Major Eric Thirkell-Cooper, on 2 December 1961.¹ He died in 1995.¹
     He was educated at Sidcot School, Winscombe, Somerset, England^G.¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1935 with a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Sherwood Foresters.¹ He was lecturer with the Foreign Office, German section.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1946.¹

     Edward Anthony Colville was born in 1978.² He is the son of Damer Edward Wakeman Colville and Judith M. Pert.¹ He married Charlotte Rose Orr-Ewing, daughter of Hon. Malcolm Archie Orr-Ewing and Clare Mary Flood, in 2006.²

     Katherine Olive Stuart-Menteth was born on 23 August 1890 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Sir James Frederick Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Alyson Blackett.³ She married Edward Algernon Blackett Prior, son of Charles Matthew Prior and Mary Alyson Blackett, on 14 February 1933.¹
     From 14 February 1933, her married name became Prior.
