     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1949 and 1951 in the Scots Guards.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He lived in 2003 at Poronui Station, Taupo, New Zealand.1
